Hey folk, it’s Tiny Odd Conversations Day today so as it’s a special day we’ve got special show art for the week, but you’ll probably only be able to see it if you download & listen to the show with iTunes. But hey you can still get us via Stitcher Radio or RSS from our site as well you just won’t get the Tiny Odd Special Episode Cover Art.
This show is resplendent in all that is Ed, it’s probably the gassiest show we’ve done yet & it has nothing to do with the only guest being from an oil producing country. We got our first live call in ever from a human being that is not a podcaster (or even a listener actually) via Google+ from a gentleman named Abdulla, check it out it borders on parody but it’s my reality.
-Asshat Of the Week
-Compliment Sandwiches
-Discussion on the correct pouring of a Guinness
-Get your T-Shirts and other various merch by clicking the link on our site at Don’t Quit Your Daycast
-Tweet #HeyEd questions to EdWallick or email them to EdWallick@DontQuitYourDaycast.com for next weeks show!
This weeks notes are brief as we’re getting ready for a party here in San Francisco this weekend.
Got a good little rant for the first half of the show this week with a couple topics and an Asshat of the Week thrown in for a kicker!
Plus we’ve got some great guest this week, Tom and Alba are world travelers & the congenial & happy hosts of ‘The Brit & The American’ which is a really fun little travel/couples/comedy podcast that is a fun way to find out about the world if you can’t go there yourself at the moment. I got to talk with them via Skype last week while they had the benefit of a room with a toilet and high speed internet access! Please excuse the levels on this interview, I am still learning to use my new set up effectively & I had their sound turned down too low but I believe I was able to digitally bring them up so you can hear them a little better.
For pictures of things discussed this week follow Ed on Twitter he posted pictures of the San Francisco Butt Pirate boat there as well as the nice lady with the information & many, many other things.
Please remember to Subscribe Rate & Review if you get us on iTunes, if you find us via Stitcher put us in your Favorites & remember to ‘Like’ the show with that little thumbs up button & you can promote the show on Twitter or Facebook with one click as well & as always you can stream us at our home site & subscribe there as well, Don’t Quit Your Daycast.
4-Then we’ve got this weeks guest who some of you may have heard of if you ever read the article I wrote as the National Affairs Desk Editor over at Destination:Asphyxiation called ‘Let’s Talk About The Savage Land and Savage Times.’ He’s Steve G, my own personal ‘Jesus’, read the article it will make more sense.
Basically that’s the new format: Rants, Asshats, a Sketch & then a guest (provided they continue to come of course).
Remember, other than listening, you can also support the show 3 ways now: Donate (use button on site), Buy a Shirt or help promote us by subscribing, favoriting, rating & sharing the show by talking about it!
This weeks show is part of a Two Part Series to be completed with an Episode entitled ‘Destination: Daycast Pt.2′ to be aired by Destination: Asphyxiation Podcast on or about December 7th, 2012 (if you buy into the whole Gregorian Calender “system”).
We’ve got Tom Bevis (@BarrelhouseRed) & Taylor Ripley of TurkReno (@TurkReno, @TurkRenoRadio) on this week. I wanted to get as much great use out of those good microphones Tom brought up for the visit.
I’d also like to thank The Dhead Factor for Episode #61, by doing a tribute show to DQYD your team has displayed remarkable taste for citizens of an island nation. Seriously though, that was extremely kind of them & amusing as well so I’d check it out if you want to hear some deep investigatory journalism regarding ‘Ed Wallick’ & auto tuned Vagina Monologues.
This weeks show was a fun little talk about all kinds of things: Wine, Manatee’s, Circus Folk, Cable Companies, Exploding Strip Clubs, Cigars, The Cloud & possibly some profanity every now & again.
Next week will be the 1 year Anniversary of DQYD, the first show was published on December 7th, 2011. I just wanted to say thank you very much to those of you that are enjoying & listening to the show. I appreciate your interaction with us/me via Twitter & all other various forms of social media, hopefully the show & I will both continue to get better in the coming year. Thanks, really.
